I live in a small village in the north of Transylvania (Maramureș county, Romania). At the age at which many people start to plan their retirement, the passion for pottery has won, so, leaving behind 30 years of entrepreneurship in commerce, I decided to dedicate myself 100% to my passion for pottery.
In our workshop, Ostraka Pottery, we produce a whole series of functional cook and serve ware for everyday use, based on our own recipes of ceramic material and glazes, made to withstand temperatures of over 1,100 C. All pots go through two firing cycles in an electric kiln (for now).
Most of the works are created on a momentum wheel and are inspired from different cultures and traditions, reinterpreted and modelled in a personal way.
